As a magistrate, for a few, or figuring as a promoter, for other, restrained or temperamental, nobody denies that Joaquim Barbosa, the last 10 years as Minister, and now as President of the Supreme Court, the largest Court in the country, was largely responsible for the end of the cycle of impunity of the powerful, leading real revolution in the STF and improving the low credibiliade of the judiciary.
The appointment of Babu to the STF was not his legal training, but considered, first and foremost, the commitment to racial diversity.
